Tracy Booker Gray
My name is Tracy Booker Gray and I am one of the criminal defense lawyers at Guest and Gray Law Firm. I’ve been practicing criminal law since 2005 and have been in private practice since 2010.
I grew up in Terrell, Texas and graduated from Terrell High School in 1998. I was a member of the Fighting Tiger Band, captain of the Color Guard and graduated in the top 5% of my class. My family has deep ties to the Terrell community and we still have many friends who call Terrell home.
I went to college at Abilene Christian University and received my BA in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. While there I was a member of the social club GATA and an active member of the Students’ Association. After graduating from college I worked at the American National Bank of Texas in Terrell before going to law school at the University of Houston Law Center. There I was a member of the Mock Trial Team and was selected to represent my school in national competitions.
After law school I started working at the Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office. While there I was the chief misdemeanor prosecutor and then was promoted up to felony prosecutor. As a felony prosecutor in the 86th District Court of Kaufman County I was responsible for hundreds of felony cases, everything from state jail possession to first-degree felony offenses. I was also a juvenile prosecutor and handled hundreds of juvenile cases for the District Attorney’s office.
In 2010 I left the Kaufman County District Attorney’s to join my husband Scott Gray in private practice in Forney, Texas. I have been with Guest and Gray Law Firm’s criminal defense team. I am a past Kaufman Bar Association President, Vice President and Secretary, a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association and the Kaufman County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
